If your RVT model is linked to an RCP or RCS point cloud, open the point cloud in NUBIGON first. This ensures the RVT model is automatically aligned after import.
Go to File > Import > Revit, and select your RVT file.
All RVT versions are supported except Revit 2026.
After a brief processing step, the Import Revit window appears.
Import Options
In the Import Revit window, configure the following:
- Views: Select the view to import. By default, NUBIGON uses the active 3D view. If the active view is not 3D, it picks the view named {3D} if available; otherwise, it selects the first 3D view in the list.
- Mesh resolution: Select the desired resolution. The default is High.
- Linked point cloud: Confirm the correct RCP/RCS file linked in your RVT so its alignment info is used.
- Offset: Select the linked point cloud you opened earlier in NUBIGON so the same offset applies.
Click OK to import. The model appears in the Object List. The Console window shows messages about missing texture files.
